ATHENS 2004 - "Legends will be rewritten"
EDINBURGH 2004 - "Legends have already BEEN rewritten"
PRESS RELEASE - Odysseus and the Really Freaky Monsters - By Russell, Franklin and Bartlett with original music by Davidson
Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2004 Pleasance Dome, August 5th - 22nd 11.50am (1hour 10mins)
If you can’t get to Athens this August for the Olympic Games, why not come instead to the Athens of the North – Edinburgh where Homer’s legendary tale has been re-written for children by Tidemark Theatre! Odysseus and the Really Freaky Monsters is a fun-packed romp through Ancient Greece as our hapless hero battles his way home from Troy. Accompanied by his ever-decreasing band of merry chums who are being eaten willy-nilly by some Really Freaky Monsters, Odysseus the Cunning also enlists the help of some rather gorgeous Goddesses in his quest to get back home in time for his tea.
This show, suitable for children aged 4 to 94, has it all – heroes, villains, eight foot furry blue monsters, grapes and some jolly big swords.
