Tidemark believe that love of theatre starts from an early age. Thats why we make sure there is always something fun going on for the younger audience.
Our kids shows tend to be primarily aimed at the five years to twelve years age range, although there is always plenty to keep all ages - including teens and parents -very happy. We don't condescend or talk down to our audience just because they are younger, we just get on with it and trust that as long as we are having a good time, then we can take all ages of audience with us on a magical journey through the imagination.
'Odysseus and the Really Freaky Monsters' retold the legendary Greek story of Odysseus and his journey back from the siege of Troy. However, we took several extravagant liberties with the story - including turning the Trojan Horse in to the Trojan Pantomine Horse, and turning the seven-headed sea-serpent the 'Scylla' into - surprise surprise - a seven headed all-singing and dancing Cilla Black. With the addition of a few songs and a whole load of laughs, audiences and reviewers loved the show.
In 2005, Tidemark are touring with 'Odysseus and the Really Freaky Monsters' and may be appearing at a local community theatre near you. Register now and we'll let you know when new dates are added to our calendar.
Our latest childrens show sees Tidemark retell yet another famous Greek legend tith our own inimitable style. Jason and the Astronauts is - you've guessed it - the story of Jason and his mission aboard the good ship 'Argo' in search of the Golden Fleece. Jason teams up with gorgeous and successful girl-band 'The Astronauts' as they prepare to meet their match with such foes as the terrible Medusa and the mighty Zeus. |
